INTERNATIONAL: NATIONAL GAME XI WINS IN ITALY

The under-23 England National Game XI beat their Italian Serie C counterparts 1-0 in Ivrea on Wednesday afternoon.

Manager Paul Fairclough, boss of Nationwide Conference leaders Barnet, would have been delighted that one of his own players, Simon King, grabbed the only goal of the match. King headed the winner from a David Perkins corner.
