NORTH: Sad loss of City stalwart
It is with great regret that Worcester City Football Club has to announce the sad loss of Club Stalwart Brian Mullen, who passed away during Saturday's game at home to Altrincham.
Brian, who was a steward for the Club for many years, suffered a heart attack after carrying the stretcher for Altrincham's Steven Rose who broke a leg during the game.
The Club would like to pass on their sincere
condolences to his wife Mary and their family for their sad loss.
Brian had been involved in the Club behind the scenes for over 25 years whilst his wife Mary has been a turnstile operator for the same period of time.
The Club would also like to pass on their thanks to Club Director Bob Marley and the Altrincham physio for their valiant efforts in trying to resuscitate Brian and also to the Altrincham Management and Officials for their understanding of the situation and wish Steven Rose a speedy recovery.
A sad day was made even worse with the news that long-time supporter Leslie Strain suffered a heart attack on the way home from the game and sadly passed away. Again the Club would like to pass on their condolences to Mr
Strain's family.
