CHARITY: Calling all Aldershot and Farnborough fans

SANTA FUN RUN
Sunday December 5 2004 at 11.00am

Sponsored by GILROY AND BROOKES
Queens Avenue Playing Fields, Aldershot

Help your club and the Phyllis Tuckwell Hospice!

Just imagine the sight: hordes of Santa's dashing around the Queens Avenue Playing Fields opposite the Aldershot Military Stadium just three weeks before Christmas.

The Phyllis Tuckwell Hospice in partnership with Cannons Health Club, Weybourne, is making this possible and is asking you to enter into the festive spirit by supporting this unique event.

The Santa Fun Run is being sponsored by local firm Gilroy and Brookes and covers a course up to three miles. The entrance fee is just 10 adults and 3 for juniors under 16. This covers a Santa outfit for the adults (which is compulsory to wear for the duration of the Fun Run) and a flashing Christmas hat for the juniors.

Both Aldershot Town and Farnborough Town Football Clubs have been a fantastic supporter of the Phyllis Tuckwell Hospice over the past year. In lieu of this we would like to offer all supporters of the club the opportunity to enter the Santa Fun Run and raise funds for both the hospice and football club through a split sponsorship.

If you would like to enter Application forms are available from the club offices, Social Club and Club/Leisurewear Shops from either club. Alternatively it is available at our website- www.phyllistuckwellhospice.org.uk. Please complete and return to me at the Hospice and I will forward you all the information and sponsorship forms that you require. All entrants will receive a 'goody bag'.

The event is purely a Fun run. It does not matter how long it takes to complete the route, you can even walk it and bring your family dog for a stroll.

The main sponsors are GILROY AND BROOKES Chartered Accountants and Registered Auditors. They are a local, well-established family firm with offices in Aldershot and Alton and provide accountancy and financial management services. They are also the football club accountants. Partner Laurie Powell said: 'The Phyllis Tuckwell Hospice enjoys a well-deserved reputation for providing excellent help and support to people in need within the local community. Like so many others Gilroy and Brookes first came involved following a staff member's personal experience. We are delighted to be supporting the Santa Fun Run- a fundraiser with the combined benefits of being healthy, seasonal and in aid of a very good cause'.
