CONFERENCE: Shots up to third after Farnborough win
Aldershot climbed to third in the Nationwide Conference with a 2-1 win at Farnborough on Tuesday night.
Darren Barnard went close for the visiting Shots before Jonathan Dixon fired them ahead from a well placed Tim Sills cross in the 27th minute.
Farnborough showed few signs of scoring themselves and they were two down four minutes after the interval as Dixon returned the favour for Sills, playing his team-mate through for Aldershot's second goal.
Michael Clarke's emphatic late header gave Boro hope but Terry Brown's side held on to claim the three points and jump a massive nine places in the table, into third.
