Vieira calls the shots for Carlisle
Carlisle United's Magno Vieira was the hat-trick hero for Carlisle as the Cumbrians shattered The Shots' 100% home record with a 5-0 rout on Saturday.
The on-loan Wigan man with a rather well-known namesake, struck three times in the second half to help Carlisle move above Aldershot and up to third in the table.
Chris Lumsdon opened the scoring from fully 40-yards to put the visitors 1-0 up at the break, but it was all about Vieira in the second period. He fired his first goal into the corner of the net and, after Chris Billy brilliant volleyed in the third, Vieira headed in Lumsdon's cross and finished superbly to complete his hat-trick.
Bulls see off spirited Leigh
Substitute Adam Stansfield hit two late goals to earn Hereford an excellent victory over Leigh RMI.
The visiting Bulls were pegged back three times before finally edging a seven-goal thriller at Hilton Park. They led 1-0 at half time through a Lee Mills header, and Mills put them 2-1 up in the second half after Warren Peyton leveled had levelled for Leigh.
The home side made it 2-2 when Gareth Stoker headed in Ian Fitzpatrick's inswinging corner, before Stansfield restored Hereford's advantage on 82 minutes.
Steve Smith struck back again for RMI but Stansfield's low drive sealed the points for United, who moved up to second in the table.
Scarborough halt high-flying Bees
Scarborough held Nationwide Conference leaders Barnet to 1-1 draw at the McCain Stadium as Tyrone Thompson equalized Giuliano Grazioli's first-half effort.
It was the fourth successive stalemate for The Seadogs on home soil but one they will be happy with having come from behind against the division's top team.
Top scorer Grazioli converted Ben Streven's cross to put the Bees in front but Thompson struck his first goal for Scarborough from 20 yards to earn his side a precious point.
Fleet sail to victory over Stanley
Part-timers Gravesend & Northfleet continued their excellent start to the season with a 2-1 win at Accrington Stanley, to move ahead of the Lancashire side in the table on goal difference.
One-time Wycombe Wanderers FA Cup hero Roy Essandoh and Manny Omoyinmi scored either side of the break to put the visitors 2-0 up and Fleet held on despite Jonathan Smith pulling one back for Stanley late on.
Crawley too strong for Rovers
Newcomers Crawley Town climbed to seventh in the table as they overcame Forest Green Rovers with two second half goals having twice gone behind.
The division's bottom side, who picked up their first point of the season last weekend, showed further signs of improvement under new boss Alan Lewer. Rovers took the lead twice through Charlie Griffin but were pegged back by Allan Tait and a Charlie MacDonald penalty.
Fiston Manuella put the hosts ahead with a 30-yard screamer after the break and MacDonald added his second from even longer range two minutes later to secure the points for the Southern League champions.
Grecians draw in Dolan's last game
Exeter twice came from behind to take a point from their clash with hold Tamworth at St James Park, in what proved to be Eamonn Dolan's final game in charge.
Bob Taylor hit the first for The Lambs, which was equalized by Sean Divine, and Shaun Harrad converted the spot-kick he won to put the visitors back in front.
Exeter's Barry McConnell levelled the score again, with another penalty, but Dolan felt his side could have won the game: "I thought at times we hinted that we could play really, really well," he said. We started really well again which was very positive.
"We conceded quite a sharp goal which we'll live with, but we should have gone into the second half more goals up and we didn't."
Dolan has now left Exeter to take up the position of academy director at Championship club Reading.
Stevenage see off troubled Vics
Two goals in each half saw Stevenage to a comfortable victory over struggling Northwich, who still have the prospect of a ten-point penalty hanging over them after going into administration.
Jermaine Hunter and George Boyd scored in the first half for the home side, and Mark Quayle missed a penalty for Northwich before Hunter struck his second just before the hour to make it 3-0.
Mark Devlin headed a 71st-minute consolation for The Vics but Anthony Elding sealed Stevenage's win seven minutes from time as Borough moved up to tenth in the table.
Woking leapfrog Canvey after 1-0 win
Justin Richards scored the only goal of the game as Woking recorded an important victory over Canvey Island to move ahead of their beaten opponents in the table.
Shwan Jalal made some excellent saves to keep Canvey out though Richards came close to adding a second for the home side as his powerful effort struck the bar, but his goal was good enough to give Woking the points. To make matters worse for Canvey, they had goalkeeper Steve Ward sent off for a professional foul near the end.
Daggers' but the Boot in against Shaymen
An excellent second-half display earned Dagenham & Redbridge the points against Halifax as they ran out 4-2 winners at the Glyn Hopkin Stadium having twice come back from a goal down.
Halifax led 1-0 at half time thanks to Lewis Kileen and were 2-1 after the break as Kileen restored their advantage following Tony Boot's equalizer.
Craig Mackail-Smith restored parity with a delicate finish and Paul Bruce put The Daggers ahead, before Boot sealed the points with his second goal of the game.
York leave it late at Burton
What must have been a difficult week for Nigel Clough following the death of his father ended with a disappointing loss to York.
The struggling Minstermen moved level with Albion following their second away win of the season, brought about through Paul Groves's header 16 minutes from time and an Andy Bishop goal in stoppage time.
Honours even at Morecambe
Morecambe and Farnborough took a point apiece from a game littered with chances that neither side seemed able to convert.
The two teams shared two goals, the impressive Michael Twiss firing the home side ahead just before the break and Stephen Hughes hitting the equalizer for Boro in the second half.
Morecambe keeper Adam Sollitt ensured his side would take something from the game when he tipped Lee Riddel's effort over the crossbar in injury time.
