NORTH AND SOUTH: TUESDAY NIGHT ROUND-UP
NATIONWIDE NORTH
As rain gripped the country it was a minor miracle that only Altrincham v Barrow was forced off due to a waterlogged pitch.
Elsewhere Nuneaton Borough came from behind in their home match against Stafford Rangers to top the table and retain their unbeaten record. Harrogate Town brought Gainsborough Trinity, fresh from their first win of the season, back down to earth with a bump following a 5-1 thrashing, while Ashton United and Worksop Town both recorded their first victories of the season.
NATIONWIDE SOUTH
Grays Athletic stormed to the top of the Nationwide South table with a thumping 6-1 win at Margate, 5 goals coming in the second half.
Redbridge, who opened their account with a win at the weekend, saw their match with Hornchurch succumb to the rain, and although Eastbourne Borough managed their first point of the season, at fellow early season strugglers Sutton United, it wasn't enough to lift them off the foot of the table.
